Marobaki
Marobaki is a phoenix rising from the ashes of its predecessor, Age of Parasites. In late 2020, the previous project dissolved, leaving nothing but embers and memories. However, fate had it that I stumbled upon their final show in Edinburgh, where I met Russell, the creative powerhouse behind Age of Parasites.
After some time, together with Russell we decided to start a new project together, Marobaki, with me as their drummer. The band then set out to find other like-minded individuals, and we were lucky enough to recruit Pavel on guitar, Alexey on bass and vocals, and Francesco on vocals and lyrics.
Together, we’ve been busy playing gigs in and around Edinburgh, building a name for ourselves in the local music scene. Our sound is unique, with Russell’s guitar riffs and Pavel’s blistering solos weaving together to create a tapestry of sound that’s both familiar and new.
Alexey’s bass provides the foundation of our songs, while Francesco’s lyrics and vocals add a layer of complexity that truly sets us apart. We are a force to be reckoned with, and our chemistry on stage is undeniable.
Our journey has been active and exciting, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. We have no plans of slowing down, as we continue to push the boundaries of our sound and explore new horizons. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey, as we strive to make our mark on the world of music.
